Moffat on River's future and the reason for the shift to Autumn

Moffat has spoken to the authors of The Brilliant Book 2012 (Via Den Of Geek) about River Song and why he's made the choice to get Doctor Who aired in Autumn.

On River's future:

"That’s dependent on Alex Kingston”. He also confirmed that the Ponds are in Series 7.

On the move:

"The truth behind the delay next year is: why are we killing ourselves and risking compromising the show, in order to go out in the middle of summer? I’m sick of it. I’m sick of standing in the blazing sunshine, with a barebecue fork in my hand, knowing that Doctor Who is coming on any minute”.

And on the 50th Anniversary:

“Epic, huge, massive, indulgent... all your treats at once”. He adds that “I guarantee you it’s going to be the best year ever to be a Doctor Who fan. We’re going to be in production for longer than ever, just to do everything that we intend to do”.

Synopsis for Dr Who Series 6 Part 2

The lucky folks in America (no offence to Americans) have got a synopsis for the next 6 eps of Series 6 Dr Who.
From BBC America:

The wait is almost over. The second part of the thrilling new series of Doctor Who will soon return. The truth about River Song is out and the time has come for the Doctor to face his greatest demons. Venturing across centuries and galaxies, the Doctor, Amy and Rory will encounter the greatest war criminal in all of history - and Hitler. Together, they'll discover there's no scarier place in the universe than a child's bedroom and a visit to an alien quarantine facility will reveal to Rory a very different side to his wife. In a hotel where walls move, corridors twist and rooms vanish, death lies waiting. But the Doctor's time has yet to come. He has one last stop to make on his final journey - an old friend needs his help and an old foe must be defeated. But time catches up with us all and the Doctor can delay no more.
By the shores of Lake Silencio, in Utah, all of time and space hang in the balance. And a NASA astronaut is waiting.

Captain Jack could've come back

Moffat talks to TVLine about how he could've, and may still do, brought Captain Jack back.

“I’d have [brought back Captain Jack] for ‘A Good Man Goes To War,’ because it’d be obvious for him to call upon Jack in those circumstances. But John was busy doing Miracle Day.”
"When we’ve got a good story, we’ll do it,” he says. “You can’t just bring somebody back and say, ‘That’s a story.’ That’s just somebody walking through a door…. I won’t be thinking, ‘How do you bring Captain Jack back?’ I’ll be thinking, ‘You know what this needs? We need to bring Jack back fo
